MEET YOUR GAPS PRACTITIONER & NUTRITIONAL HEALTH COACH
Founder of YWC
River Yeo
Nice to meet cha! I am excited to share the skills I learned which helped me climb my way out of a pit of severe chronic fatigue, leaky gut syndrome, and autoimmunity. It also helped me to give my little one their best chance at a leg up from the poor microbiome I was born with.
Re-Learning how to cook, clean, and live in a totally new way was SO much work. I would have given up completely if I didn't have a friend alongside me who understood why I was doing what I was doing to encourage me to keep going. For me, that was my husband (and hero) Jabez Yeo.
I am excited to create a space where you can find the support you need, whether it's through individual coaching or group discussion. You don't need to walk this road alone. Call me your Wellness Sherpa because together we're going to find that same trail that got me out of the woods!
As an RN BSN with nursing experience, I am not only a GAPS coach, but a certified GAPS Practitioner trained by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, the creator of the GAPS protocol. This protocol was developed from a rich bed of research and practical clinical experience. And as it turns out- is full of forgotten traditional wisdom! My job as a Practitioner is to create a custom path for you through this complex protocol according to your bio-individual needs. I am here to assist you with the mitigation of any detox reactions, sugar crashes, and other ups and downs you may experience as your body rebalances itself and rebuilds.
My Story:
I grew up the oldest of 4, taking care of our very sick momma who did not have a good experience swimming through a health care system that couldn't help her. So, I went to nursing school to see if I could make a difference in the care people experience.
As a nurse, I met many patients like my mom that the system simply couldn't help. Medications treat symptoms but only food and lifestyle change can affect the cause.
I started to watch my own health slip down the path of my mom. I was 22 and felt sick and tired ALL. THE. TIME.
I tried energy drinks with ginseng and B12,
I tried going gluten free (which helped a little),
I tried AIP (which was exhausting and left me hungry all the time),
I tried antidepressants for a short time (which didn't help at all)
Finally, I found Dr. Natasha Campbell McBride's Gut and Psychology Syndrome book. This book gave me my life back and got me back on the right track. I learned that the power to heal my body was there all along hidden in the foods provided by God's beautiful creation. After a year of faithfully building my health through sweat and tears in the kitchen, I transitioned off of GAPS to a diet guided by the Weston A Price Association's recommendations.
Just in the nick of time because the Lord has blessed Jabez and I with our first baby!
I look forward to hearing about your health journey.
I look forward to seeing it unfold!
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3: 5-6

MEET THE DOULA!
Rachel Conley
Hi! I’m Rachel, a wife and mother of two. My journey as a birth professional began six years ago, while taking Bradley Method classes. The birth of my first child, Evie, was a beautiful, powerful and transformative experience. I knew that I would eventually leave my career as a music teacher to become a doula.
In 2017, we moved to South Africa, where I worked with a non-profit organization empowering women in Kayamandi township. I finished my training online as a doula and taught community classes on labor, birth, nutrition, breastfeeding and infant care. I had the privilege of serving as a birth doula to several women in public hospitals. These years, working in a difficult context were formative and challenging.
Unfortunately, many women don’t have a positive experience of birth. For many, childbirth conjures up fearful images of suffering and helplessness. Many women want to breastfeed but feel guilty when they struggle to overcome challenges. But I believe that with the right support, nearly all women can birth and breastfeed successfully.
Our bodies are amazing, and they were made to do this! I look forward to serving women here in Philadelphia as a birth/postpartum doula and childbirth educator. It is my privilege to help women confidently walk into the new role of motherhood!
(Note: A doula is a non-medical birth professional who provides emotional, informational and physical support for families during pregnancy, labor and the early postpartum period. Studies show that having a birth doula increases positive outcomes, decreases pain and reduces the risk of needing an unplanned cesarean section).

MEET MY HUSBAND,
COUNSELOR YEO!
Jabez Yeo
Our Story:
When Jabez met me I was finishing Nursing School in the Prairies of Oklahoma and he was working in Finance and living in Times Square. On our first date, he told me about a professor that inspired him by bringing Counseling Services to the Middle East where so many had witnessed the traumas of war in their home towns.
Right away I could tell he was more than a cog in the corporate machine, and so -fast forward 2 years-
I walked down the aisle and married him!
It's been my great honor and privilege to watch Jabez bravely leave the fancy paycheck behind to pursue his passion for counseling: to provide a safe place for clients to process and heal. - Especially those like himself, who did not grow up in cultures that readily embrace counseling.
Counseling Services:
Jabez is seeing clients at Cairn University's Oasis Counseling Center under their supervision
as he continues the process towards his LPC certification.
Cairn counseling services are open to the community for the discounted rate of $50 for a 45-minute session.
See their website for more information: https://cairn.edu/oasis/
Booking is scheduled and paid for through Cairn.
***Clients of Jabez qualify for discounts with other branches of the Yeo Wellness Collective***

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction,
so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction,
with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
